Why we created dojoHUB
dojoHUB was created to make high-quality Kyokushin knowledge easier to access, understand and use — wherever someone trains. Location, travel costs and language can limit opportunities to learn from experienced instructors. dojoHUB brings their knowledge and different perspectives together in one structured digital platform.
The app is designed to support regular dojo training, not replace it. Karateka can use dojoHUB to review techniques, prepare for grading or competition and deepen their understanding alongside guidance from their Sensei. When access to a dojo is limited, it also provides a reliable resource for continuing to learn and practise.
Today, dojoHUB offers more than 300 Kyokushin training videos, guided sessions and a dedicated step-by-step kata section, together with content for kihon, kumite and technical development.
The idea is rooted in Kaizen (改善): continuous improvement through curiosity, consistent practice and attention to detail.
The journey
All good things begin
on the tatami
dojoHUB grew from the shared experience of Carla Gallati, Ciril Bächli and Javier Castegnaro. Through years of training, teaching and competition, Carla and Ciril explored how detailed explanations and structured practice could make complex Kyokushin movements easier to understand. Their work in kata helped shape the original idea and, later, dojoHUB's dedicated step-by-step kata section.
Carla and Ciril met Javier on the tatami. Originally from Costa Rica, he shared their passion for Kyokushin and their interest in using digital technology to make knowledge more accessible. Their combined martial arts, creative, organisational and technical experience became the foundation of dojoHUB.
Today, dojoHUB continues to be shaped by experienced instructors and karateka from different backgrounds. The platform brings their perspectives into a modern learning format while respecting the traditions, dojos and Senseis at the heart of Kyokushin.

Carla Gallati
Chief Creative OfficerCarla is one of Europe's most successful kata competitors, with six consecutive European Championship titles. Her training and teaching focus on kata precision, technical refinement and continuous improvement.
At dojoHUB, Carla leads creative direction, brand, marketing and the presentation of learning content. She helps translate technical ideas into clear and engaging experiences for karateka.

Ciril Bächli
Chief Operations OfficerCiril has more than 30 years of Kyokushin experience. His competitive achievements include a European Championship title and further international podium finishes. As a surgeon, he also brings a professional understanding of biomechanics and movement to his teaching.
At dojoHUB, Ciril oversees operations, processes and the structure of training content, helping turn detailed technical knowledge into organised learning resources.

Javier Castegnaro
Chief Technical OfficerOriginally from Costa Rica, Javier is a Kyokushin karateka who combines passion for the martial art with a strong interest in technology and digital product development.
At dojoHUB, Javier leads the platform's technical development and turns training and learning ideas into practical app features. His perspective also helps the team create an accessible experience for an international, multilingual audience.
