Who we are and how it all began
Why we created dojoHUB
dojoHUB was born from a passion to make high-end Kyokushin knowledge and training accessible to everyone, no matter where they are. Much of the best Kyokushin knowledge is locked behind expensive travel and language barriers, making it difficult for many Karatekas to learn from renowned instructors. dojoHUB was created to break down these barriers and give practitioners worldwide the opportunity to train, learn and grow — without limitations.
At the same time, dojoHUB serves as a platform for instructors to share their expertise with the global Kyokushin community, ensuring that valuable knowledge, refined techniques and unique insights can be shared with the global Kyokushin community.
More than just an online training platform, dojoHUB is designed to complement the traditional dojo experience, helping Karatekas refine their skills, prepare for grading and competition and connect with a worldwide Kyokushin network. Beyond training, dojoHUB fosters exchange, discussion and community, bringing practitioners and instructors together like never before.
Rooted in the philosophy of Kaizen (改善) — continuous self-improvement in both body and mind — dojoHUB empowers Karatekas to unlock their true potential and carry the values of Kyokushin into every aspect of life.

dojoHUB was created by a group of passionate Kyokushin Karate practitioners who have had the privilege of training with some of the most talented and successful Karatekas from around the world. Through their journey, they discovered the incredible depth of Kyokushin Karate — a universe full of inspiration, learning and growth.
Two of the founders, Carla and Ciril, have spent years exploring the world of Kata. They’ve developed innovative training methods and worked on advancing Kata performance, particularly for competition. Their efforts have been dedicated to pushing boundaries and bringing fresh perspectives to this vital element of Kyokushin Karate.
As often happens in Kyokushin Karate, the best connections are made on the Tatami. It was on the mats where Carla and Ciril met Javier, a dedicated Karateka originally from Costa Rica. Sharing a mutual passion for the sport and a vision for digital innovation, the three came together to form dojoHUB.
dojoHUB is more than just a platform — it is a bridge between tradition and technology, created to make Kyokushin Karate training accessible to Karatekas everywhere. The team’s mission is not only to share the wealth of knowledge they’ve gathered over the years but also to bring together expertise from Kyokushin practitioners and instructors worldwide.

Chief Creative OfficerCarla is one of Europe’s most accomplished Kata competitors, boasting an incredible four European Championship titles. Renowned for her precision, technical skill and relentless pursuit of perfection, her attention to detail shines through in her teaching. Her dedication to pushing boundaries and inspiring others has made her a true role model in the dojo and possibly also in the global Kyokushin community.
Through dojoHUB, Carla shares her passion for perfection, empowering Karatekas to achieve their personal best. Beyond running the business, she is also the creative force behind dojoHUB, shaping its look & feel and marketing with her vision and expertise.
Ciril Bächli
Chief Operation OfficerCiril is a dedicated Kyokushin practitioner with over 30 years of experience, consistently ranking among the top Kata competitors in Europe and securing multiple podium finishes. What sets him apart is his background as a surgeon — a unique combination that gives him a deep understanding of biomechanics and physics. This allows him to refine Karate techniques for maximum efficiency and effectiveness, blending science with tradition to bring unparalleled value to dojoHUB.
He is the process and structure machine behind dojoHUB, ensuring everything runs smoothly — both behind the scenes and in the spotlight.
Javier Castegnaro
Chief Technical OfficerOriginally from Costa Rica, Javier is a dedicated Karateka whose energy and enthusiasm are contagious. He embodies the essence of Kyokushin with a deep respect for the art, an unshakable commitment to growth and a desire to pass on his knowledge to the next generation.
Whether on the tatami or through dojoHUB, Javier is a constant reminder of what it means to live the Kyokushin way — fueled by passion, respect and perseverance. As dojoHUB’s innovative digital mastermind, he is always exploring new technologies and opportunities to make the app and its users better and stronger.
