Baltic Kata Cup & Camp 2025

Baltic Kata Cup and Camp 1

Last weekend, Klaipeda became the stage for one of the Baltics' most vibrant Kyokushin events — the Baltic Kata Cup & Camp, hosted by Sensei Lukas Kubilius. With over 300 participants on day one, the tournament showcased Kyokushin energy across all age groups — from the youngest beginners to international-level competitors.

Perspectives, Variety & Vision

After the tournament, dojoHUB instructors Ciril Bächli and Carla Gallati led an intensive 2-hour kata session for experienced karatekas. Among the participants were national team coaches, dojo leaders, and active kata athletes — all eager to dive into technical details and refine their skills.

On the second day, around 250 karatekas returned to the sports hall for a full day of training. Divided into groups by experience level, participants rotated every 40 minutes — allowing everyone the chance to learn from each instructor in an interactive and inspiring setup.

Each instructor brought their own unique teaching style and vision to the mat, offering participants an exceptional opportunity to experience a wide variety of kata approaches — all within one day. The diversity in perspectives made for an incredibly enriching experience.

Instructor Line-Up:

  • Sensei Ciril Bächli (Switzerland, dojoHUB)
  • Sensei Carla Gallati (Switzerland, dojoHUB)
  • Shihan Valius Rudys (Lithuania)
  • Shihan Diana Mačiūtė (Lithuania)
  • Sensei Raimundas Paškauskas (Lithuania)

Exchange of knowledge

The Baltic Kata Cup & Camp embodied exactly what dojoHUB stands for: quality learning, open exchange, and global connection through Kyokushin. It was an honour to contribute to this event and support the development of passionate kata athletes across the region.

Many thanks to Sensei Lukas and the organising team for their dedication, effort and warm hospitality. We had a wonderful time and appreciated the exchange — we'll definitely be back.
Osu!
